Tile Update Highlights

We've listened to your feedback and suggestions for improvements, and have updates for our products for Jive: Mosaic, Search, Blog, Accordion, Hero, Navigation, Place Grid and Video Tiles. In addition to the enhancements, we've also made bug fixes that were reported to us via our Support Website.

Optional Multi-Language Support for Mosaic, Search, Blog, Accordion, Hero and Navigation Tiles

We've introduced an Add-on configuration panel to enable language support in a number of tiles.

  • It allows you to set the languages your tile managers can use in their tiles, so that they are not overwhelmed by all the language possibilities.
  • Once enabled, tile managers can create a Mosaic for each language enabled (default if not set is English).
  • To the end-user, they will see the Mosaic, Search or Blog tile that matches their Language preference
  • This supports all languages on Jive 9 and Jive cloud except Arabic and Hebrew which are right-to-left (RTL) languages

Please note:

  • Nothing is automatically translated. All content in other languages is part of the content or translated by the tile administrator
  • Does not change other elements on the page
  • Does not detect a user's browser language, it only uses Jive Preference

What's new for Mosaic 3.0

  • Personalization: As mentioned above, you can now display personalized content based on user's language preferences.
  • BETA: Stories Display per User Profile: There's also a new feature that allows you to display content based on specific user profile attributes.
  • Improvements to layout and usability including: being able to add theme options to style title and subtitle separately, add border around stories, choose Slider view or List view (new) for narrow and mobile display, and accessibility compliance.

What's new for Search 3.0

  • Language preferences: Parts of the Search Tile can now be customized to display personalized content based on user's language (site administrator must set display option for language preferences in the configuration panel).
  • Search Results Improvements: Including ability to display collapsed search results, adding filters to restrict place results to subspaces, highlighting search terms in the results as well as making promoted terms visually distinct.
  • Accessibility: In addition, the tile has been updated to meet accessibility requirements.

What's new for Blog 2.0

  • Curation for blog posts, just like Mosaic stories:  Ability to show manually-curated blogs, add a "teaser" to the display. You can either curate a set of blog posts or allow blog posts to display automatically (dynamically)
  • Language preferences: Display different blog posts depending on language preferences. Language preferences are set by the site administrator.
  • Improvements to layout and usability including: Preview at top of the configuration panel, alternating layout in list form, custom HTML in header and footer, and accessibility compliance.

What's new for Accordion 3.0

  • Icon Upgrade: You now have access to many more icons in FontAwesome version 5.
  • Minor fixes: We've also adjusted the heights of headers and as well as made some changes to names of the sections to match the configuration settings in our other tiles.

What's new for Hero 3.0

  • Language preferences: Text, buttons and links can now be customized to display personalized content based on user's language (site administrator must set display option for language preferences in the configuration panel).
  • Improvements to layout and usability including: alignment of the buttons, updates to the Google Analytics including Nickname and bug fixes, custom HTML in header and footer, and accessibility compliance.
  • About the alignment of buttons and text: in response to customer feedback that the breakpoint of the tile (between a desktop and a mobile view) to change the display to center-aligned view was too high. We've adjusted it so that the default now is that for full-width and 2-column views, the text and the buttons are left-aligned. If necessary, please adjust your tile settings accordingly if you prefer a different alignment.

What's new for Navigation 3.0

  • Icon Upgrade: You now have access to many more icons in FontAwesome version 5.
  • Language preferences: Content can now be customized to display personalized content based on user's language (site administrator must set display option for language preferences in the configuration panel).
  • Improvements to layout and usability including: ability to configure the fonts and colors for the text, custom HTML in header and footer, and accessibility compliance.

What's new for Place Grid 2.0

  • Language preferences: Content can now be customized to display personalized content based on user's language (site administrator must set display option for language preferences in the configuration panel).
  • Improvements to layout and usability including: bug fixes with display of images, ability to configure the fonts and colors for the text, custom HTML in header and footer, and accessibility compliance.

What's new for Video 2.2.0

  • Fixing video display: Aurea's recent switch to a new video provider in a previous release prevented videos in our tile from being displayed properly
  • Prevent downloads: In response to a request by some of our customers to prevent users from downloading videos.
  • Other bug fixes: include various display issues in Internet Explorer and Chrome or issues in saving the configuration.
